What is YPT?

Young People's Theatre is a children's theatre class designed to introduce theatre arts and performance skills to students ages 6-18. These classes foster creativity, boost self confidence, enhance communication skills and help to develop a love for the performing arts.

Our YPT volunteer leaders have the skills to promote students growth using curriculum and activities based on age and knowledge of theatre. We use the National Arts Core Standards to shape our monthly programs to create a continuous learning environment.

YPT Monthly Schedule

Currently our YPT program is free to all students. We host monthly events for our students and use this time to help them mold their thespian skills.

To get the most out of our program, we encourage you to come to as many monthly events as possible.

We are currently using the National Core Arts Standards as our curriculum base and have used it to create "I Can" statements for our YPT members.

YPT is open to all students and skill set for students ages 6-18.

Students are broken into groups by age and theatre knowledge to help give students one on one help to keep them growing and learning.
